Wednesday, Dec 17

An information and awareness-raising campaign on gender-based violence was held last Tuesday at the apprenticeship schools of the Drama Vocational Training Institute.
The workshop was conducted by LUD -HOH executives, focusing on contemporary and emerging forms of gender-based violence, ways of recognizing, preventing, and immediately addressing it, as well as the importance of information and awareness at all levels of society. Participation was impressive, with 59 students and 6 teachers actively attending, participating in the discussion, and contributing their personal thoughts and experiences. The atmosphere throughout the workshop was positive, warm, and participatory, with the trainees showing enthusiasm and interest in the topics. This was followed by interaction with the students and the online game “Change the plot. Be a gender hero!”, an educational tool developed by LUD -HOH in the context of the project “TIME TO TALK II”, in collaboration with the Norwegian organization Alternative to Violence.

The project “DEVELOPMENT OF PREVENTION-ACTIVITY ACTIVITIES FOR PREVENTION-TO-COMBAT VIOLENCE – PREVENTION-INTERVENTION OF VIOLENCE II”, implemented by the Ladies’ Union of Drama – HOH., is carried out under the “Eastern Macedonia, Thrace 2021-2027” Programme and the priority “Social inclusion and poverty reduction (ESF+)”. The operation is co-financed by the European Social Fund. The project is part of the Sustainable Urban Development Strategy of the Municipality of Drama.
