As part of the prevention and combating of gender-based violence, educational workshops continue with the aim of informing as many children as possible through comprehensive awareness-raising, information, and support interventions. The aim of this educational seminar is to strengthen students’ empathy, critical thinking, and social awareness, while emphasizing their role as active citizens who can recognize, condemn, and prevent abusive or stereotypical behavior.
At the same time, in early February, another important online meeting will be held between the organizations participating in the Network for Combating Gender-Based Violence in the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace. The speaker will be Katerina Patsogianni, Secretary General for Equality and Human Rights of the Ministry of Social Cohesion and Family. Ms. Patsogianni will present recent legislative and policy initiatives of Greece and the Ministry, as well as the new risk assessment methodology for women who come to report an incident.
