Educational seminar on gender violence at the atrium of the Ladies’ Union of Drama – ΗΟΗ
Monday, Jul 21

Another educational seminar on gender violence will take place on Monday 21/7/2025 at the atrium of the Ladies’ Union of Drama, by the team of the project “TIME TO TALK II”.
This is an action to inform and raise awareness of students of Drama, families benefiting from LUD-HOH, aged 12-18 years, on gender violence, in the framework of the project “TIME TO TALK II” will take place at the premises of the Ladies’ Union of Drama-HOH.
The implementation of the action will be undertaken by the project team consisting of sociologists along with the President Aliki Tsiamoura. The action will have a strong experiential character with the presentation of the basic concepts and forms of gender violence and interaction with the online game “Change the plot. Be a gender hero!”, an educational tool developed by the LUD – HOH in the framework of an earlier project, in cooperation with a Norwegian organisation fighting gender violence. Through role-play scenarios, students will identify behaviours of violence, distinguish its types, reflect on how they would react if they were victims or witnesses and discuss the possible consequences of their attitudes and choices. The aim of this experience is to strengthen young people’s empathy, critical thinking and social awareness, emphasising their role as active citizens who can recognise, disapprove and prevent abusive or stereotypical behaviour.
The project “DEVELOPMENT OF PREVENTION-ACTIVITY ACTIVITIES FOR PREVENTION-TO-COMBAT VIOLENCE – PREVENTION-INTERVENTION OF VIOLENCE II”, implemented by the Ladies’ Union of Drama – HOH., is carried out under the “Eastern Macedonia, Thrace 2021-2027” Programme and the priority “Social inclusion and poverty reduction (ESF+)”. The operation is co-financed by the European Social Fund. The project is part of the Sustainable Urban Development Strategy of the Municipality of Drama.
