On Friday, June 20, 2025, from 9:30 to 11:00, another educational workshop of the project “TIME TO TALK II” will take place at the premises of LUD-HOH.
This time, with the participation of a sports club, the A.S. TESSERA Academy of Drama, highlighting the importance of sport as a field of prevention, education and promotion of equality. The action is part of the broader planning of LUD-HOH for the expansion of its social footprint, as it seeks to strengthen the information and awareness of adolescents, not only through the formal Secondary Education, but also through partnerships with clubs and institutions where young people are active. In this way, it is possible to reach more adolescents, in familiar and safe places for them, with the aim of prevention, information and active participation.
The workshop will be conducted by the scientific coordinator of the project, Mrs. Sevasti Hadjifotiou, Dean of the Department of Social, Political and Economic Sciences of the DUTH. The adolescent participants will be informed about contemporary forms of gender violence, will recognize its manifestations in their everyday life and will be empowered in terms of their right and need to speak up, to challenge stereotypes and to assume the role of active citizens.
The project “DEVELOPMENT OF PREVENTION AND COMBAT ACTIONS AGAINST GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE – TIME TO TALK II”, implemented by the Ladies Union of Drama– H.O.H., is carried out under the program “Eastern Macedonia and Thrace 2021–2027”, under the priority axis “Social Inclusion and Combating Poverty (ESF+)”. The project is co-financed by the European Social Fund and is part of the Sustainable Urban Development Strategy of the Municipality of Drama.
