On Monday, September 29, 2025, the project team of “TIME TO TALK II” will once again launch its information and awareness-raising activities for students and teachers on gender-based violence, with the aim of preventing and combating this phenomenon.
The first visits for the new school year will take place at the 3rd and 5th Junior High Schools of Drama, with the participation of more than 100 students. The project team will hold two consecutive meetings, at 9:30 and 11:30, responding consistently to all requests from schools.
The keynote speaker will be the Dean of the School of Social, Political and Economic Sciences of the Democritus University of Thrace, who will present to students and teachers the forms of violence, the basic signs of its detection, as well as practical ways of reacting and dealing with it. The aim is to provide comprehensive information and cultivate skills for recognizing and preventing incidents of violence in the school, family and social environment.
The project “DEVELOPMENT OF PREVENTION AND COMBAT ACTIONS AGAINST GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE – TIME TO TALK II”, implemented by the Ladies Union of Drama– H.O.H., is carried out under the program “Eastern Macedonia and Thrace 2021–2027”, under the priority axis “Social Inclusion and Combating Poverty (ESF+)”. The project is co-financed by the European Social Fund and is part of the Sustainable Urban Development Strategy of the Municipality of Drama.
