“TIME TO TALK II” program at the Drama Art School
Tuesday, Feb 10

On Monday, February 9, 2026, the project team of the “TIME TO TALK II” program held an educational information and awareness workshop at the Drama Art School, with the participation of 42 students and 5 teachers from the school.
The event began with a pleasant and particularly creative surprise for the LUD – HOH team from the children, who presented a short theatrical performance on the theme of gender-based violence. Through frozen images, speech, and symbolic roles as witnesses, victims, and perpetrators, they highlighted essential aspects of the phenomenon, sparking a meaningful dialogue and fruitful reflection. This was followed by a presentation by the project’s scientific staff, during which basic definitions and forms of gender-based violence were developed, as well as its causes and consequences. At the same time, the signs and behaviors that help in the early recognition of incidents of gender-based violence were presented, so that students would be able to recognize such situations, take a stand, and seek support when needed.
The students participated actively and meaningfully throughout the activity. The students demonstrated significant knowledge about the forms of gender-based violence, expressed their opinions and concerns, and shared personal experiences, contributing to an open and constructive dialogue.
The project “DEVELOPMENT OF PREVENTION AND COMBAT ACTIONS AGAINST GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE – TIME TO TALK II”, implemented by the Ladies Union of Drama– H.O.H., is carried out under the program “Eastern Macedonia and Thrace 2021–2027”, under the priority axis “Social Inclusion and Combating Poverty (ESF+)”. The project is co-financed by the European Social Fund and is part of the Sustainable Urban Development Strategy of the Municipality of Drama.
