As part of the “TIME TO TALK II” program, the Ladies Union of Drama – HOH is implementing the “VIA DRAMA” initiative.
From November 24 to Friday, November 28, awareness and mobilization actions will be carried out for the general population.
• Getting to know the shelter: For an entire week and then appointment, the first floor of the shelter will be open to schools. The aim is to demystify the shelter as something impersonal and out of step with the daily lives of citizens.
• Illumination of the shelter: On November 25 November, the Open Hospitality House will be illuminated in orange, the color established by the UN to symbolize the fight against violence against women.
• Capturing abuse: At the organization’s offices (on Venizelos Street), visitors can view the photo exhibition. The exhibition captures the brutality and consequences of gender-based violence, offering a shocking reality experienced by many women.
• Protest wall: Next to the photo exhibition, visitors will find a wall where they can leave their own message of solidarity and support for victims of abuse against women.
• List of femicides: Posting of the names of murdered women 2025, in order to honor their memory and remind us of the ongoing battle against violence.
The project “DEVELOPMENT OF ACTIONS TO PREVENT AND COMBAT GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE TIME TO SPEAK II” is being implemented within the framework of the “Eastern Macedonia – Thrace 2021-2027” Program and the priority “Social Inclusion and Combating Poverty (ESF+)”. The action is co-financed by the European Social Fund and the project is part of the Sustainable Urban Development Strategy of the Municipality of Drama.
