The “TIME TO TALK II” workshop was held at the Evening Gymnasium and High School of Drama
Monday, Oct 27

On Thursday, October 23, 2025, another educational workshop was held at the Evening Gymnasium and High School of Drama as part of the “TIME TO TALK II” program.
The workshop was conducted by LUD-HOH’s executives, accompanied by the President, focusing on contemporary and emerging forms of gender-based violence, ways of recognizing, preventing and immediately addressing it, and the importance of information and awareness-raising at all levels of society.
Participation was impressive, with 35 students and 5 teachers actively attending, participating in the discussion, and contributing their personal thoughts and experiences. The audience of the Evening School, consisting of adults of different ages and life experiences, gave the event a unique atmosphere of maturity, truthfulness and open dialogue.
The discussion covered topics such as the extent of gender-based violence, the relationship between perpetrator and victim, role reversal, as well as issues of respect, equality, and social alienation. At the same time, reference was made to the phenomenon of school bullying, power relations, and the need to cultivate a culture of prevention and solidarity. The active participation of the trainees made a particularly positive impression, as they emphasized the importance of such actions, stressing that through information they can now better recognize such phenomena and talk openly about them, not only in the school environment, but also within their families. Many participants pointed out that this knowledge enables them to convey these messages to their children, thus contributing to a chain of information, protection, and empowerment within society itself.
The atmosphere throughout the workshop was positive, warm, and participatory, with participants showing enthusiasm and interest in the topics, proving, as the High School Principal pointed out, that the Evening School is a vibrant place of learning, development, and social awareness. “
The project “DEVELOPMENT OF ACTIONS TO PREVENT AND COMBAT GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE TIME TO TALK II” is being implemented within the framework of the “Eastern Macedonia – Thrace 2021-2027” Program and the priority “Social Inclusion and Combating Poverty (ESF+).” The action is co-financed by the European Social Fund and the project is part of the Sustainable Urban Development Strategy of the Municipality of Drama.
